Job summary

Regency Coupeville on Whidbey Island seeks a dedicated CNA to provide quality nursing care and promote resident rights and dignity. Immediate evening and weekend shifts are available with a $2,500 welcome bonus for full-time employment.

You will follow individualized care plans, assist with grooming, hygiene, mobility, vital signs, and documentation while maintaining safety and infection control. CPR/BLS certification preferred; CNA certification required in WA.

Qualifications

  • CNA certification in WA state is required.
  • Ability to obtain CPR/BLS card optional or required.

Responsibilities

  • Follow individualized care plans and provide care team with resident updates.
  • Assist residents with grooming, bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, incontinent care, toileting, transfers, mobility, ROM, and communication.
  • Maintain skin integrity—reposition immobile residents and apply moisturizers as needed.
  • Protect residents' personal belongings and report any missing items per policy.
  • Take vital signs, measure weights, apply creams, collect specimens, and assist with lifting and transport.
  • Document care per department policies.
  • Follow safety and infection control procedures.
  • Communicate with residents, visitors, families, peers, and supervisors.

As a CNA, you provide quality nursing care and promote resident rights, dignity, freedom of choice, and individuality. You also provide individualized attention and encourage residents to maintain or attain their highest practical physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being.
You Will:
  • Ensure individualized care plans are followed and provide care planning staff with specific information, changes, and observations of the residents' needs and preferences.
  • Attend to the resident's needs, including; grooming, bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, incontinent care, toileting, colostomy care, prosthetic appliances, transferring, ambulation, range of motion, communication, in keeping with the individuals' care requirements
  • Maintain each resident's skin integrity to prevent pressure ulcers, skin tears, and other damage by changing incontinent residents, turning, repositioning immobile residents, and applying moisturizers to fragile skin.
  • Protect the personal belongings of each resident and promptly report missing items according to established policy.
  • Take vital signs, residents' weights, apply creams/ointments, collect specimens, lift, move, and transport residents, using proper body mechanics or lifting devices to prevent accidents.
  • Document care in keeping with department policies
  • Follow prescribed safety and infection control procedures.
  • Communicate and interact tactfully with the residents, visitors, families, peers, and supervisors.
You Currently:
  • Possess a CNA certification in the state of employment.
  • Have the ability to obtain CPR/BLS card.
