Job summary

Regency Pacific Management in Spokane, WA is seeking a CNA to provide quality nursing care while promoting resident rights, dignity, and independence. You will support individualized plans and help residents maintain maximal well-being.

The role includes grooming, hygiene, nutrition support, skin care, vital signs, and accurate documentation. A CPR/BLS credential is desirable, and both full-time and part-time opportunities are available.

Qualifications

  • Must possess a CNA certification in the state of employment.
  • Ability to obtain CPR/BLS card.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure individualized care plans are followed and provide care planning staff with information, changes, and observations of residents' needs and preferences.
  • Attend to residents' needs including grooming, bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, incontinent care, toileting, colostomy care, prosthetic appliances, transferring, ambulation, range of motion, and communication.
  • Maintain residents' skin integrity by turning immobile residents and applying moisturizers to prevent pressure ulcers.
  • Protect residents' personal belongings and report missing items per policy.
  • Take vital signs, track weights, apply ointments, collect specimens, and move/transport residents with proper body mechanics.
  • Document care per department policies.
  • Follow safety and infection control procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, visitors, families, peers, and supervisors.

Wage range $22.00 - $25.50 BOE

As a CNA, you provide quality nursing care and promote resident rights, dignity, freedom of choice, and individuality. You also provide individualized attention and encourage residents to maintain or attain their highest practical physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being.

  • Ensure individualized care plans are followed and provide care planning staff with specific information, changes, and observations of the residents' needs and preferences.
  • Attend to the resident's needs, including; grooming, bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, incontinent care, toileting, colostomy care, prosthetic appliances, transferring, ambulation, range of motion, communication, in keeping with the individuals' care requirements
  • Maintain each resident's skin integrity to prevent pressure ulcers, skin tears, and other damage by changing incontinent residents, turning, repositioning immobile residents, and applying moisturizers to fragile skin.
  • Protect the personal belongings of each resident and promptly report missing items according to established policy.
  • Take vital signs, residents' weights, apply creams/ointments, collect specimens, lift, move, and transport residents, using proper body mechanics or lifting devices to prevent accidents.
  • Document care in keeping with department policies
  • Follow prescribed safety and infection control procedures.
  • Communicate and interact tactfully with the residents, visitors, families, peers, and supervisors.
