Job summary

Interim HealthCare is seeking Home Health CNAs in Columbus, GA to provide compassionate in-home care to seniors and individuals with illness or chronic conditions. You’ll support daily activities, monitor vitals, and partner with home health nurses to follow the care plan.

This role offers 1:1 patient care, flexible scheduling, opportunities for online training and CEUs, and tuition discounts to Rasmussen University; equality and growth are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Must have active Georgia CNA certification.
• CPR and First Aid certification required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years of CNA experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Care for seniors and those with illness in patients' homes.
• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, nutrition).
• Assist with ambulation, transfers and range of motion exercises.
• Check vitals, document changes, and report to supervisor.
• Collaborate with home health nurses and aides to follow the care plan.

As a Home Care Certified Nursing Assistant, here’s a big-picture view of what you’ll do:

• Care for seniors and those with an illness, injury or chronic disease in their homes
• Help with daily activities such as bathing, toileting, dressing, grooming, hygiene, nail/skin care, eating and nutritional intake
• Assist with ambulation, transfers and range of motion exercises
• Check vitals, measure intake/output, monitor blood glucose and document any changes
• Work with a team of home health nurses and aides to ensure a patient’s care plan is followed
• Observe patient and notify supervisor of issues requiring a change in care, medication or medical equipment

A few must-haves for Home Care Certified Nursing Assistants:

• High school diploma (or equivalent) and active Nursing Assistant Certification in Georgia
• In-person CPR and First Aid certification
• Valid Georgia driver’s license, auto insurance and transportation
• Must have valid CNA license in Georgia.
• Compassionate nature, good communicator and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Have a basic understanding of services provided and be able to explain services to other residents.
• At least 2 years of experience as a CNA.
