Job Summary:

The Certified Nursing Assistant provides routine daily nursing care and services to residents according to their assessment and care plan, under the supervision of nursing staff. The role includes administrative responsibilities and adherence to federal, state regulations, and company policies.

Essential Job Functions:

1. Record entries on flow sheets, notes, charts, etc.
2. Report changes in residents' conditions to nurses
3. Perform assigned tasks following facility policies and supervisor instructions
4. Complete work according to schedules and assignments
5. Prepare residents' rooms for new residents
6. Inventory and mark personal possessions as instructed
7. Transport residents as needed
8. Assist with oral and dental care, bathing, dressing, hair, and nail care
9. Shave residents and keep them dry
10. Make beds and maintain intake/output records
11. Assist with medical tests and social activities
12. Ensure residents' personal care needs are met
13. Provide post-mortem care as instructed

Qualifications:

1. Active CNA certification in the state of employment
2. Sincere desire to work with elders and those with limited self-care capacity
3. Physical and mental ability to perform essential functions
4. Ability to work with diverse personality types
5. Creative initiative and mature judgment
6. Courteous, empathetic, professional attitude
7. Minimum age of 18
8. Maintain confidentiality and effective communication skills
9. Transportation available for flexible scheduling

Education/Experience:

1. GED and a 120-hour CNA course
2. Licensed CNA in accordance with state laws
