Summary

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides essential care and support to residents, assisting with daily living activities such as hygiene, meals, mobility, and comfort. Responsibilities include monitoring vital signs, documenting care activities, and reporting observations to nursing supervisors. CNAs ensure residents' privacy and dignity while adhering to HIPAA guidelines, professional standards, and regulatory requirements. They contribute to a safe and supportive environment, participate in educational opportunities to maintain certification, and perform other duties as assigned to ensure the health, welfare, and safety of residents.

Responsibilities
  • Perform all functions under your active license or certification or as it pertains to your assigned duties.
  • Know the residents you serve, providing care based on their care plans.
  • Assist in all aspects of a resident’s daily life, including activities of daily living, meal service, and social engagement.
  • Communicate appropriately with clinical leadership when a resident’s needs change.
  • Approach and care for residents with dementia.
  • Willingness to take on other duties and assignments within your knowledge and experience scope.
Qualifications
  • Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) License or Certification in good standing.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Willingness to undertake additional training or education as required by specific states.
  • CPR and First Aid certifications are required.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in handling multiple priorities.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
