Job summary

Freedom Village of Bradenton is seeking a Certified Nurse’s Aide to assist licensed nursing staff with daily living activities for residents in Bradenton, FL. The role includes dressing, grooming, bathing, mobility support, and timely reporting of observations to the nursing team.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a state-approved geriatric nursing assistant training program.
• Registration with State registry required; prior geriatric aide experience preferred.
• CPR/BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with dressing, grooming, eating, bathing, and mobility.
• Take and report treatments and tasks as instructed; collect specimens as needed.
• Report observations and results to nursing staff.
• Transfer and escort residents as needed; respond to calls promptly.
• Maintain clean, safe, and sanitary workstations and equipment.
• Encourage independence and participation in activities and rehab.
• Attend in-service training and perform duties as assigned.

About The Role

The Certified Nurse’s Aide assists the licensed nursing staff by performing routine nursing duties and activities of daily living.

• Gives treatments, performs tests, carries out procedures and collects specimens as instructed.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a State approved geriatric nursing assistant training program. Prior geriatric nursing aide experience is preferred. Registration with State registry (required)
• Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicate effectively, and perform simple arithmetic. Ability to document care given.
