Job summary

Freedom Village Bradenton is seeking a Certified Nurse’s Aide to assist licensed nursing staff with daily living activities and routine nursing tasks in a senior-care setting. You will support residents with grooming, eating, hygiene, mobility, and basic treatments, while documenting care and maintaining a safe, clean environment.

Ideal candidates have a State-approved GNA program, State registry registration, CPR/BLS, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a State approved geriatric nursing assistant training program.
• Prior geriatric nursing aide experience preferred.
• Registration with State registry is required.
• CPR/BLS Certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Assists residents with dressing, grooming, eating, bathing, positioning, turning, toileting and exercising.
• Gives treatments, performs tests, carries out procedures and collects specimens as instructed.
• Reports and records observations and results of treatments, tests, procedures, and specimens when indicated.
• Transfers, transports, and escorts residents as needed.
• Answers signal lights promptly.
• Changes bed linens, makes beds and keeps rooms clean and orderly.
• Maintains safe and sanitary workstations and equipment.
• Encourages independence and participation in activities and rehabilitation.
• Attends in-service training and education sessions as assigned.
• Performs duties as assigned by supervisor.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

QUALIFICATIONS:
