Job summary

Regency Care of Central Oregon in Bend, OR is seeking caring CNAs to join a team that feels like family. Starting at $25 an hour (more with experience) plus night shift differential, you will help residents with daily living, comfort, and safety.

You will follow individualized care plans, monitor vital signs, assist with grooming, bathing, mobility and feeding, document care, and uphold infection control while communicating respectfully with residents, families, and colleagues.

Qualifications

• CNA certification in the state of employment.
• Ability to obtain CPR/BLS card.

Responsibilities

• Follow individualized care plans and communicate changes to staff.
• Attend to grooming, bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, toileting and related needs.
• Maintain skin integrity and reposition immobile residents.
• Protect residents' belongings and report missing items.
• Take vital signs, monitor weights, apply creams, collect specimens, assist lifting.
• Document care per department policies.
• Follow safety and infection control procedures.
• Communicate with residents, families, visitors and staff.

We are Regency Care of Central Oregon, a skilled nursing community centrally located in beautiful Bend, OR. We are looking for caring & compassionate individuals to join our team.

As a CNA, you provide quality nursing care and promote resident rights, dignity, freedom of choice, and individuality. You also provide individualized attention and encourage residents to maintain or attain their highest practical physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being.

You Will:

• Ensure individualized care plans are followed and provide care planning staff with specific information, changes, and observations of the residents' needs and preferences.
• Attend to the resident's needs, including; grooming, bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, incontinent care, toileting, colostomy care, prosthetic appliances, transferring, ambulation, range of motion, communication, in keeping with the individuals' care requirements
• Maintain each resident's skin integrity to prevent pressure ulcers, skin tears, and other damage by changing incontinent residents, turning, repositioning immobile residents, and applying moisturizers to fragile skin.
• Protect the personal belongings of each resident and promptly report missing items according to established policy.
• Take vital signs, residents' weights, apply creams/ointments, collect specimens, lift, move, and transport residents, using proper body mechanics or lifting devices to prevent accidents.
• Document care in keeping with department policies
• Follow prescribed safety and infection control procedures.
• Communicate and interact tactfully with the residents, visitors, families, peers, and supervisors.

You Currently:

• Possess a CNA certification in the state of employment.
• Have the ability to obtain CPR/BLS card.
