Job summary

MaineHealth is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join the Bean 5 unit at Maine Medical Center. This role involves providing basic nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and supporting the care team during day shifts.

Two 12-hour day shifts per week, part-time eligibility with a $2,000 sign-on for 0-1 year experience and $4,000 for 1+ years. Part-time hires have prorated bonuses and per diem are ineligible.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
• License/Certifications: Current applicable state CNA license.
• BLS certification current or must be obtained within 30 days of start date.
• Experience: Less than six months CNA experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic CNA care under RN supervision.
• Assist with activities of daily living and patient comfort.
• Support nursing team in administering care per unit procedures.

Eligible candidates are hired into a Full or Part-time CNA position. Bonus amount prorated for Part-time hires, per diem hires are ineligible.

Summary

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) I provides basic level CNA care assisting in the administration of nursing care to designated patients under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities (KSAs)

• Education: High school diploma or GED preferred
• License/Certifications: Current applicable state(s) license as a Certified Nursing Assistant required. Current BLS certification required or must be obtained within 30 days of start date.
• Experience: Less than six months of CNA experience

The pay range for this position is $20.27to $24.36 per hour.
