Job summary

Maine Medical Center is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant II to assist in administering nursing care to designated patients under the direction of a Registered Nurse. The role involves a variety of direct and indirect care duties in a 36-hour full-time schedule on the night shift.

Eligible candidates may receive a sign-on bonus; current MaineHealth employees are ineligible. The unit is R9 Intermediate Care with emphasis on patient safety and quality care.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
• License/Certifications: Current CNA license and BLS certification required or obtained within 30 days.
• Experience: One year of relevant CNA experience required.

Responsibilities

• The CNA II role assists in nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Performs direct and indirect care duties as part of the care team.

Eligible candidates are hired into a Full or Part-time CNA position. Bonus amount prorated for Part-time hires, per diem hires are ineligible.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

1. Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
2. License/Certifications: Current applicable state(s) license as a Certified Nursing Assistant required. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date.
3. Experience: One year of relevant experience required. Demonstrates competency in all essential functions of a Certified Nursing Assistant I role.

The pay range for this position is $20.27to $24.36 per hour.
