Job summary

Cell Staff, a nationwide healthcare staffing company, is launching a first-of-its-kind CNA program at the Anchorage Correctional Complex in Anchorage, AK. We are seeking a dedicated CNA to join the ground-floor team on a 13-week contract.

Responsibilities include high-volume vital signs and glucose monitoring, telehealth setup and real-time support, and assisting nursing staff with ADLs and transfers. Alaska CNA certification required; background check necessary.

Qualifications

• Active Alaska CNA certification required.
• Comfort operating telehealth equipment and computer systems.
• Independent self-starter who thrives in new environments.
• Corrections, clinical, or MA experience a plus.
• BLS (AHA) preferred.
• Must clear Alaska background check.

Responsibilities

• Monitor vital signs and blood glucose throughout shifts.
• Set up and support telehealth encounters with remote tools.
• Assist the remote provider during telehealth sessions.
• Scan and organize records from telehealth and offsite encounters.
• Assist infirmary staff with ADLs, transfers, and showers.

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) — Anchorage Correctional Complex | Anchorage, AK | State Corrections

Cell Staff is a nationwide healthcare staffing company that has partnered with the Alaska Department of Corrections to launch a first-of-its-kind CNA program at the Anchorage Correctional Complex. This is a ground-floor opportunity to be part of something new — and we want YOU to be part of the team.

CNA Details

• Monday through Friday, day shift
• 13-week contract with option to extend
• Location: Anchorage, Alaska
• Brand new pilot program — be part of building something from the ground up

CNA Duties

• High-volume vital signs and blood glucose monitoring throughout the shift
• Setting up and supporting telehealth encounters — operating advanced digital tools including remote stethoscopes, otoscopes, and dermatological cameras on behalf of providers
• Remaining with patients during telehealth encounters to assist the remote provider in real time
• Scanning and organizing records from telehealth and offsite encounters into the medical record
• Assisting nursing staff in the infirmary with ADLs, patient transfers, and showers

CNA Qualifications

• Active Alaska CNA certification
• Tech-confident — must be comfortable operating telehealth equipment and computer systems
• Independent self-starter who thrives in a new and evolving environment
• Prior corrections, clinical, or MA experience a plus
• BLS (AHA) preferred
• Must be able to clear a State of Alaska background check
