Job summary

Lake Prince Woods is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for our 40-bed Skilled Nursing Unit in Suffolk, VA. The role supports residents under RN supervision and promotes dignity and quality of life.

The unit operates with a 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM shift in a not-for-profit CCRC setting. Qualified candidates will have a CNA certificate, completion of required in-service training, and be at least 16 years old.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of three (3) months of experience preferred; new grads welcome.
• Successful completion of a state-approved CNA program and in-service training.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct personal care and assistance with activities of daily living.
• Monitor and report changes in residents' conditions to nursing staff.
• Support residents in maintaining independence and highest level of functioning.
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and positioning.
• Promote a safe, comfortable, and caring environment for residents.
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow care plans.

Position Summary

The Certified Nursing Assistant provides direct resident care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. This role assists residents in maintaining their highest possible level of physical, emotional, and social well-being while promoting dignity, independence, and quality of life. Care is provided in accordance with physician orders, state and federal regulations, and Lake Prince Woods standards of excellence.
