Job summary

Emerald Nursing & Rehab Cozad in Cozad, NE is seeking a compassionate CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) to join our Nursing team. You will assist residents with daily living activities, monitor health, and ensure comfort and safety in a supportive environment.

Shift options include 6a–6p or 6p–6a with rotating weekends; current Nebraska CNA certification required; prior skilled nursing facility experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification in Nebraska is required.
• Experience in a skilled nursing facility preferred.
• Ability to lift and move residents as part of daily care.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene.
• Help residents with mobility, including transferring and ambulating safely.
• Take and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
• Document care provided and changes in residents' conditions in electronic health records.
• Report any changes in residents' conditions or concerns to the nursing staff promptly.
• Assist with feeding, preparing meals, and providing companionship to enhance residents' quality of life.
• Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Work closely with other healthcare professionals, including nurses and physicians, to ensure cohesive and comprehensive care.

Responsibilities

• Resident Care: Assist residents with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene.
• Mobility Assistance: Help residents with mobility issues, including transferring, positioning, and ambulating safely.
• Vital Signs Monitoring: Take and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
• Documentation: Accurately document all care provided, changes in residents’ conditions, and any other pertinent information in electronic health records.
• Communication: Report any changes in residents’ conditions or concerns to the nursing staff or supervisor in a timely manner.
• Supportive Tasks: Assist with feeding, preparing meals, and providing companionship to enhance residents’ quality of life.
• Infection Control: Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean and safe environment for residents.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with other healthcare professionals, including nurses and physicians, to ensure cohesive and comprehensive care.
