About Midlands Regional Center
Midlands Regional Center is a residential facility of the South Carolina Department of Disabilities and Special Needs located in Columbia, SC serving residents with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Job Responsibilities:

• Works in medically fragile units under direct supervision, responsible for providing assistance to the professional staff. Delivers direct care to persons with intellectual disabilities and special needs in an ICF-IID setting, ensuring consumer comfort and safety. Complies with all policies and regulations outlined by SC DDSN, DHEC, and CMS. Provides basic consumer care under nursing supervision, including feeding, bathing, dressing, grooming, or moving individuals, and changing linens. May transfer or transport consumers. Ensures safety and care of individuals with disabilities.
• Provides physical support for daily activities such as transfers, eating, drinking, bathing, dressing, toileting, standing, walking, or exercising. Uses durable medical equipment under supervision. Responsible for turning and repositioning individuals.
• Reviews dining plans, ensures nutritional intake, and records food and liquid consumption. Measures and reports vital signs and observes for medical issues.
• Monitors consumer health, documents observations, and reports to nursing staff. Maintains cleanliness of consumer areas and stocks supplies. Updates training and performs other duties as assigned.

The salary range is $35,360 to $40,560, based on verified nursing experience. Eligible for up to $3.50/hour shift differential.
