Job summary

Novant Health is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to provide patient-centered care in our inpatient units. You will assist with activities of daily living, monitor patient conditions, and support mobility and comfort in a collaborative team setting.

The position offers 12-hour shifts with both day and night options, and opportunities for growth within our healthcare system. Prior NA I registry and BLS certification are required or expected upon hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; Completion of NAI program required.
• NAI program completion is required for NA I eligibility.
• Basic computer skills for documentation and record-keeping.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding
• Monitor and report changes in patient condition to the nursing team
• Support patient mobility, comfort, and safety
• Measure and record vital signs as directed
• Maintain a clean and safe patient environment
• Collaborate with nurses and other healthcare team members to provide outstanding patient care

What We’re Looking For

• Licensure/certification/registration: Listed with the nurse aide registry as an NA I required. BLS Health Care Provider required. Medication Safety – AME required.
• Additional skills preferred: Basic computer skills for documentation.
