Job summary

Volunteers of America National Services–Anoka Rehabilitation & Living Center is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide direct care and support to residents. This rewarding role emphasizes compassion, respect, and patient dignity as you assist with daily living activities and document care using electronic systems.

Shifts include 6:30 AM–2:30 PM, 2:30 PM–11:30 PM, and 10:30 PM–6:30 AM on alternating weekends.

Qualifications

• Must be a Certified, Registered or State Tested Nursing Assistant.
• Ability to safely perform essential functions.
• Ability to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living.
• Report changes to the nurse promptly.
• Maintain documentation in electronic systems as required.

Anoka Rehabilitation & Living Center is part of Volunteers of America National Services which serves as the Housing and Healthcare affiliate of the Volunteers of America parent organization.

Compensation: $22.12-$23.18hr (Benefit Options and based on years of experience)- Pay in Lieu Option available

6:30 AM-2:30 PM (Every other weekend) 37.5 and 60 hours per pay period
2:30 PM-11:30 PM (Every other weekend) 30 and 52.5 hours per pay period
10:30PM- 6:30PM (Every other weekend) 67.5 hours per pay period

About the job:

The Nursing Assistant is the heart of the clinical team, providing direct care and activities of daily living for our residents that they cannot do for themselves. You will be rewarded with smiles and gratitude from the residents you provide care to!

• Assist residents with activities of daily living.
• Reports promptly to the nurse any changes in the resident condition.
• Immediately reports any suspected abuse or neglect per facility policy.
• Accurately utilizes electronic systems of documentation as required per facility policy.
• Attends/Completes educational offerings, and obtains at least twelve (12) hours of continuing education a year per state regulations.

Required Qualifications:

• Be a Certified, Registered or a State Tested Nursing Assistant
• Must be eighteen (18) years old or older at start date of employment.
• Ability to safely perform the essential functions of the job without harm to self or others.
• Ability to understand and follow work assignments.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Ability to utilize computers and other electronic devices for tasks such as timekeeping, in-servicing and documentation.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in the long-term care setting.
• CPR Certification
