Job summary

The Care Team Hospice in Akron, OH is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our growing team. This role provides hands-on personal care and comfort to hospice patients in homes and care facilities, while supporting families through difficult moments.

As a Hospice CNA, you will work with an interdisciplinary team to maintain dignity, comfort, and quality of life. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, with no nights, weekends, or on-call required.

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
• Previous CNA experience preferred; hospice/home health or long-term care experience requested.
• Ability to pass criminal background check and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) screening.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care, bathing, grooming, hygiene assistance, and comfort measures in accordance with each patient's individualized plan of care.
• Observe, document, and promptly report changes in patient condition to the supervising nurse.
• Support patients and families with compassion, dignity, and respect while promoting comfort and quality of life.
• Assist with mobility, positioning, and activities of daily living while maintaining a safe care environment.
• Complete accurate and timely documentation of all patient care provided in the electronic medical record (Homecare Homebase).
