Job summary

Apple Rehab Coccomo in Meriden, CT, is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant to support residents with daily living activities, grooming, bathing, mobility, and personal care in a warm, family-like environment that values over 30 years of nursing expertise. Starting pay is competitive at $20/hour, with per diem, weekend shifts (2 per month) and flexible part-time or full-time openings.

Walk-in interviews are welcome Monday through Friday 10 am to 4 pm, and the team offers scholarships, four weeks

Qualifications

• Must hold current CNA certification in good standing.
• No history of patient/resident abuse as per State Registry.
• Proficient in reading, writing, and following oral and written instructions.
• Strong attention to detail, excellent follow-through, and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Team player with good cooperation and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrates patience, tact, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude towards residents and their support networks.

Responsibilities

• Assists residents in daily bathing, grooming, dental care, bowel and bladder functions, dressing, walking and wheelchair use.
• Documents personal care given according to facility policies and reports changes in residents’ condition to supervisor.
• Records charting entries and responds to emergency situations calmly and efficiently.
• Observes and reports any skin breakdowns and accidents or injuries.

• 7:00am-3:00pm, 3:00pm-11:00pm, 11:00pm-7:00am
• Part-time and Fulltime Openings!

Responsibilities:

Assists residents in daily bathing, grooming, dental care, bowel and bladder functions, dressing, walking and wheelchair use, positioning in and out of bed. C.N.A. Certified Nurse's Assistant documents personal care given according to facility policies. Provides nursing functions as directed including perineal care, making beds, turning residents, measures and records temperature, weight, pulse and respiration. C.N.A. Certified Nurse's Assistant observes and reports to supervisor changes in residents’ condition, including any skin breakdowns. Reports immediately all accidents or injuries. Records all necessary charting entries. Answers all call lights regardless of assignment. Responds to emergency situations calmly and efficiently.
