Job summary

Apple Rehab Cromwell in Central Connecticut seeks a compassionate CNA to join our 74-bed skilled nursing community. Starting pay is competitive, up to $23 per hour based on experience, with several shift options and per diem opportunities.

You will assist residents with daily living tasks, document care, and report changes to the supervisor. We offer scholarships, generous PTO, holidays, health insurance, disability coverage, and a supportive, family-oriented workplace.

Qualifications

• Must hold current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing.
• No history of patient/resident abuse as per State Registry.
• Proficient in reading, writing, and following oral and written instructions.
• Strong attention to detail, excellent follow-through, and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Team player with good cooperation and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrates patience, tact, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude towards residents and their support networks.

Responsibilities

• Assists residents with daily bathing, grooming, dental care, bowel and bladder functions, dressing, walking and wheelchair use.
• Documents personal care given according to facility policies.
• Provides nursing functions as directed including perineal care, making beds, turning residents, measuring temperature, weight, pulse and respiration.
• Observes and reports to supervisor changes in residents’ condition, including skin breakdowns.
• Reports immediately all accidents or injuries. Records all necessary charting entries.
• Answers all call lights regardless of assignment and responds to emergencies calmly and efficiently.

Starting Pay

Differentials Offered

• Shift Differentials for 2nd and 3rd shifts and weekends
• Additional Shifts Differential: Extra $5.00/hour for any shifts worked outside scheduled hours

• Full-Time/Part-Time 3-11
