Apple Rehab Hewitt in Shelton, CT, is seeking a dedicated CNA to join a family-oriented team. The role covers daily resident care, documentation, and proactive communication with supervisors to uphold high-quality care standards.

Qualifications

• Must hold current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing.
• No history of patient/resident abuse as per State Registry.
• Proficient in reading, writing, and following oral and written instructions.
• Strong attention to detail, excellent follow-through, and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Team player with good cooperation and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrates patience, tact, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude towards residents and their support networks.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily bathing, grooming, dental care, bowel/bladder functions, dressing, walking, and wheelchair use.
• Document personal care provided according to facility policies; perform CNA tasks as directed.
• Observe and report changes in residents' condition or skin issues to supervisor.
• Record charting entries; respond to emergencies calmly and efficiently.
• Answer all call lights promptly and prioritize tasks while ensuring resident safety.

Job Opportunity:

CNA Certified Nursing Assistant

Starting Pay:

Competitive rates starting at $20 per hour, based on experience

Differentials Offered:

• Shift Differentials for 2nd and 3rd shifts
• Weekend Differential: $1.75 for hours worked on Saturday and Sunday
• Additional Shifts Differential: Extra $5.00/hour for any shifts worked up to 40 hrs

Available Shifts:

• Full-Time and Part-time: 7am - 3pm
• 3pm - 11pm

Responsibilities:

Assists residents in daily bathing, grooming, dental care, bowel and bladder functions, dressing, walking and wheelchair use, positioning in and out of bed. C.N.A. Certified Nurse's Assistant documents personal care given according to facility policies. Provides nursing functions as directed including perineal care, making beds, turning residents, measures and records temperature, weight, pulse and respiration. C.N.A. Certified Nurse's Assistant observes and reports to supervisor changes in residents' condition, including any skin breakdowns. Reports immediately all accidents or injuries. Records all necessary charting entries. Answers all call lights regardless of assignment. Responds to emergency situations calmly and efficiently.
