Job summary

Ascension seeks a clinician for maternal health services delivered offsite through our Mobile Health program. You will provide prenatal, postpartum, and gynecologic care within your scope, performing maternal assessments and coordinating escalation for high-risk pregnancies.

The role emphasizes continuity of care from prenatal to postpartum, lactation education, and family planning counseling. AMCB-certified CNMs and RN licensure are required, with BLS active within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• Nurse Midwife credential from the AMCB.
• Registered Nurse license.
• MD or DO required.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine prenatal, postpartum, and gynecologic care within scope of practice.
• Perform comprehensive maternal assessments including: Blood pressure monitoring, fetal heart tone assessments, weight and nutritional evaluations.
• Prenatal risk screenings and postpartum assessments.
• Conduct routine women's health screenings and education.
• Identify high-risk pregnancies and coordinate escalation of care with OB/GYN or Maternal Fetal Medicine providers.
• Support continuity of care from prenatal through postpartum periods.
• Provide lactation education and breastfeeding support.
• Assist with family planning counseling and education.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

The Clinical Care Responsibilities Consists Of

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.


• Nurse Midwife credentialed from the American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.


• Registered Nurse obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
