Job summary

White Sands, a HumanGood life plan community (CCRC) in La Jolla, CA, is seeking a full time CNA to work in Assisted Living. You would develop awareness of residents’ interests and needs and assist residents to maximize their independence, creating a safe environment to provide care.

This role requires a Certified Nursing Assistant with at least 1 year of CNA experience. The shift is a Full Time NOC 11:00 pm - 7:00 am on a 4/2 rotation, pay $22.00-$25.00/hour, with a comprehensive benefits

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant certificate with at least 1 year experience as a CNA.
• Experience in assisted living is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Engage in our philosophy for “Person-Directed Care.”
• Provide courteous, effective service to residents, families, guests and team members; communicate clearly and manage conflicts.
• Engage residents in daily activities including hygiene, grooming and mobility.
• Proactively organize care and alert IDT to changes in the resident’s plan.
• Identify needs and preferences to encourage resident autonomy in decision-making.
• Coordinate with team to ensure supplies and resources are available for residents.
• Accurately report unusual symptoms and problems to supervisor.

Pay Range

$22.00-$25.00/hour

To Be Successful In The Role, You Would Have

• Certified Nursing Assistant certificate with at least 1 year experience as a CNA

Responsibilities

• Providing effective and courteous service to all residents, family members, guests, and team members; is clear in communication and handles conflicts appropriately;


• Engaging residents in participation in daily activities including desired hygiene, grooming, and mobility;


• Being proactive in organizing care and alerting the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) to needed changes in resident’s plan of care;


• Identifying the resident’s needs, wants, and preferences, and encourage autonomy of residents in decision‑making;


• Working in collaboration with others to ensure each resident has the necessary supplies, equipment, materials, and resources to continue to pursue interests individually, or in cooperation with others;


• Accurately reporting unusual symptoms and problems of residents to supervisor.
