Job summary

HumanGood’s White Sands life plan community in La Jolla, CA is seeking a full-time CNA to work in Assisted Living on a 11:00 pm - 7:00 am NOC shift (4/2 rotation).

You will develop awareness of residents’ interests and needs and assist residents to maximize independence, while helping create a safe environment for care.

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant certification required.
• At least 1 year of CNA experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living and independence.
• Promote resident autonomy and person-directed care.
• Communicate clearly with residents, families, guests and team members.
• Identify changes in residents' plans of care and alert the IDT.
• Collaborate to ensure supplies, equipment and resources are available.
• Report unusual symptoms to a supervisor.

SHIFT: Full Time NOC shift: 11:00 pm - 7:00 am on a 4/2 rotation

PAY RANGE: $22.00-$25.00/hour

To be successful in the role, you would have:

• Certified Nursing Assistant certificate with at least 1 year experience as a CNA

You would be responsible for assisting our residents with their activities of daily living which include:

• Engaging in our philosophy for “Person-Directed Care”;
• Providing effective and courteous service to all residents, family members, guests, and team members; is clear in communication and handles conflicts appropriately;
• Engaging residents in participation in daily activities including desired hygiene, grooming, and mobility;
• Being proactive in organizing care and alerting the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) to needed changes in resident’s plan of care;
• Identifying the resident’s needs, wants, and preferences, and encourage autonomy of residents in decision-making;
• Working in collaboration with others to ensure each resident has the necessary supplies, equipment, materials, and recourses to continue to pursue interests individually, or in cooperation with others;
• Accurately reporting unusual symptoms and problems of residents to supervisor.
