Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living.

White Sands, a HumanGood life plan community (CCRC) in beautiful La Jolla, CA, is seeking a full‑time CNA to work in our Health Center. As the largest nonprofit owner/operator of senior living communities in California and one of the largest in the country, we are more than just a place to work. Job Details

• Shifts Available:
• FT AM Shift 7:00 am‑3:00 pm (4/2 rotating schedule)
• PM Shift 2:30 pm‑10:30 pm (4/2 rotating schedule)
• Pay Range: $22.00‑$25.00 per hour based on experience

To Be Successful In The Role

• Certified Nursing Assistant certificate with at least 1 year experience as a CNA

You will be responsible for assisting residents with the following activities of daily living:

• Engaging with our philosophy for “Person-Directed Care”
• Providing effective and courteous service to all residents, family members, guests, and team members, and handling conflicts appropriately
• Engaging residents in participation in daily activities, including desired hygiene, grooming, and mobility
• Proactively organizing care and alerting the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) to needed changes in the resident’s plan of care
• Identifying the resident’s needs, wants, and preferences, and encouraging autonomy of residents in decision‑making
• Working in collaboration with others to ensure each resident has the necessary supplies, equipment, materials, and resources to continue pursuing interests individually or in cooperation with others
• Accurately reporting unusual symptoms and problems of residents to supervisor
