Job summary

Atlantic Shores Retirement Community in Virginia Beach, VA is seeking a part-time CNA/RMA to join our Medications team. The role focuses on resident-centered care, accurate MAR documentation, and collaboration with nursing staff within an assisted living/memory care setting.

Compensation is hourly with shift differentials; full benefits and PTO are available for eligible staff, with opportunities for further education assistance.

Qualifications

• Current Virginia CNA certification required.
• Current Virginia RMA certification required.
• Prior experience in assisted living, memory care, or long-term care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications as prescribed and document accurately in the MAR.
• Observe and report changes in resident condition, medication effectiveness, adverse reactions, or refusals.
• Monitor vital signs and other health indicators as required for medication administration.
• Maintain medication carts and storage areas in compliance with facility policies and state regulations.
• Communicate effectively with nursing staff, residents, families, and pharmacy providers.
• Assist with medication inventory, counts, and refill coordination.
• Ensure compliance with all medication safety, infection control, and resident care standards.

Salary Range: $20.00 - $24.00 Hourly

Position Type: Part-time or PRN

Hiring Range: ($20.00 - $24.00/hr) plus evening/nights/weekend shift differentials, and an RMA shift differential ($1/hr)

Shifts Available

• Part-Time: 3-11pm
• PRN:7am-3pm, 3pm-11am, 11pm-7am, 7am-7pm and 7pm-7am

Please note: This is a combo position for a candidate with both CNA and RMA certification. When working as an RMA per the schedule, an RMA shift differential will apply on top of any evening, night, and/or weekend shift differentials.

Earn a competitive hourly rate based on years of experience, plus applicable shift differentials.

Additional compensation includes:

Hourly employees:

• 1.5x Holiday Pay
• 1.5x Overtime Payfor every hour worked over 40 hours per week

Full-time employees:

• Generous PTO beginning with a maximum of 104 hours annually
