Atlantic Shores Retirement Community in Virginia Beach, VA is seeking a part-time Medication Aide (CNA/RMA) to join our compassionate team. You'll administer medications, monitor residents, communicate with nursing staff, and document accurately in the MAR, with emphasis on safety and quality care.

The ideal candidate holds VA CNA and RMA certifications, has experience in assisted living or memory care, strong documentation, and a teamwork mindset.

Qualifications

• Current Virginia Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required.
• Current Virginia Registered Medication Aide (RMA) certification required.
• Prior experience in assisted living, memory care, or long-term care preferred.
• Strong documentation, communication, and resident care skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications as prescribed and document accurately in the MAR.
• Observe and report changes in resident condition, medication effectiveness, adverse reactions, or refusals.
• Monitor vital signs and other health indicators as required for medication administration.
• Maintain medication carts and storage areas in compliance with facility policies and state regulations.
• Communicate effectively with nursing staff, residents, families, and pharmacy providers.
• Assist with medication inventory, counts, and refill coordination.
• Ensure compliance with all medication safety, infection control, and resident care standards.

Position Type: Part Time

Salary Range: $20.00 - $24.00 Hourly

Position Type: Part-time or PRN

Hiring Range: ($20.00 - $24.00/hr) plus evening/nights/weekend shift differentials, and an RMA shift differential ($1/hr)

Shifts Available

• Part-Time: 3-11pm
• PRN:7am-3pm, 3pm-11am, 11pm-7am, 7am-7pm and 7pm-7am

Please note: This is a combo position for a candidate with both CNA and RMA certification. When working as an RMA per the schedule, an RMA shift differential will apply on top of any evening, night, and/or weekend shift differentials.

Earn a competitive hourly rate based on years of experience, plus applicable shift differentials.

Additional compensation includes:

Hourly employees:

• 1.5x Holiday Pay
• 1.5x Overtime Payfor every hour worked over 40 hours per week

Full-time employees:

• Generous PTO beginning with a maximum of 104 hours annually
