Job summary

Novant Health in Danbury, NC seeks a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide hands-on daily living support under RN supervision. You’ll assist with personal care, mobility, and comfort while maintaining dignity and safety.

This full-time night shift offers continuous patient interaction, teamwork with nurses, and opportunities to grow through clinical ladder programs and safety training.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Experience: 1 year of experience in Assisted Living facilities or long-term care is required.
• Licensure/Certification: Completion of NA I program is required.
• Listed with the nurse aide registry as an NA I is required.
• Medication Safety - AME is required.
• NC state approved curricula for restrictive interventions within 3 months of hire.
• Basic computer skills for documentation are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including personal care and mobility.
• Provide compassionate care while maintaining resident comfort, privacy, and dignity.
• Observe residents and promptly report changes to the nursing team.
• Document care and assistance according to procedures.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive environment for residents.
• Work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Charge Nurse.
• Collaborate with the care team to support individualized care plans.

What You'll Do

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including personal care, mobility, and other routine needs
• Provide compassionate care while maintaining resident comfort, privacy, and dignity
• Observe residents and promptly report changes in condition or status to the nursing team
• Document care and assistance provided according to established procedures
• Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive environment for residents
• Work under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse or Charge Nurse
• Collaborate with the care team to support each resident’s individualized plan of care

What We're Looking For

• Education: High School Diploma or GED, required.
• Experience: 1 year of experiece in Assisted Living facilities only: experience working in long-term care or assisted living, required.
• Licensure/Certification: Completion of NAI program, required.
• Listed with the nurse aide registry as an NA I, required.
• Medication Safety - AME, required.
• NC state approved curricula for restrictive interventions (facility specific) within 3 months of hire for Emergency Departments and Behavioral Health units, required.
• Additional Skills (preferred): Basic computer skills for documentation.
