Job summary

Novant Health is seeking a Night Shift Nurse Aide for the Intermediate Critical Care unit at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC. You will assist patients with activities of daily living under RN supervision and maintain a safe, clean environment.

Required: High School Diploma or GED, NA I certification, Medication Safety - AME, and NC curricula for restrictive interventions within 3 months. 1 year experience preferred, including long-term care exposure.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience preferred; 1 year Assisted Living experience may be required.
• NA I certification and nurse aide registry listing required.
• Medication Safety - AME required.
• NC state approved curricula for restrictive interventions (facility specific) within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide and document assistance to patients with activities of daily living under the supervision of a registered nurse.
• Assist residents in Assisted Living units with activities of daily living and report changes to the Charge Nurse.

Provides and documents assistance to patients with activities of daily living and maintenance of a safe and clean environment under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse.

Assisted Living units only: Responsible for assisting residents with activities of daily living as scheduled and reporting any change in status to the Charge Nurse.

What We're Looking For

• Education: High School Diploma or GED, required.
• Experience: 1 year, preferred. 1 year Assisted Living facilities only: experience working in long-term care or assisted living, required.
• Licensure/Certification: Completion of NAI program, required. Listed with the nurse aide registry as an NA I, required. Medication Safety - AME, required. NC state approved curricula for restrictive interventions (facility specific) within 3 months of hire for Emergency Departments and Behavioral Health units, required.
• Additional Skills (preferred): Basic computer skills for documentation.
