Job summary

Novant Health’s Community Hospital of Stokes in Danbury, NC is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant for a full-time night shift (7:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.).

You will provide compassionate, hands-on care under RN supervision, assisting residents with daily living activities while maintaining safety and dignity. Work closely with nurses and an interdisciplinary care team, support individualized care plans, and help residents maintain independence.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of experience in Assisted Living facilities or long-term care required.
• Completion of NAI program required.
• Listed with nurse aide registry as NA I required.
• Medication Safety - AME required.
• NC state approved curricula for restrictive interventions within 3 months of hire for Emergency Departments and Behavioral Health units required.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including personal care, mobility, and other routine needs.
• Provide compassionate care while maintaining resident comfort, privacy, and dignity.
• Observe residents and promptly report changes in condition or status to the nursing team.
• Document care and assistance provided according to established procedures.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive environment for residents.
• Work under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse or Charge Nurse.
• Collaborate with the care team to support each resident’s individualized plan of care.

What We're Looking For

• Education: High School Diploma or GED, required.
• Experience: 1 year of experiece in Assisted Living facilities only: experience working in long-term care or assisted living, required.
• Licensure/Certification: Completion of NAI program, required.
• Listed with the nurse aide registry as an NA I, required.
• Medication Safety - AME, required.
• NC state approved curricula for restrictive interventions (facility specific) within 3 months of hire for Emergency Departments and Behavioral Health units, required.
• Additional Skills (preferred): Basic computer skills for documentation.
