St. Elizabeth Healthcare is hiring a Certified Nurse Assistant/Clerical Assistant (CNA/CA) for the Med Surg unit at Dearborn Hospital in Lawrenceburg, IN. The role combines nursing support with clerical tasks to maintain unit operations.

Shifts are 7:00 AM–3:00 PM and 3:00 PM–11:00 PM, part-time with 40 hours per pay period; every other weekend and holiday rotation is required.

Qualifications

• High school or GED graduate.
• Certified in the state where work is being performed.
• Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
• Completion of applicable state courses.
• Successful completion applicable state exam required for certification.
• Not listed on applicable State Abuse Registry.
• Must have CPR for the professional rescuer.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and maintain the clerical functions for a designated unit.
• Greet patients/visitors and answer telephone with customer service skills.
• Complete worklist tasks triggered by physician orders or nurse-generated tasks under supervision.
• Provide direct and indirect patient care activities under the direction of a RN or LPN.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living and maintain a safe, clean environment.
• Demonstrate respect, dignity, kindness and empathy in all encounters.

Education
