Job summary

Novant Health in Wilmington, NC seeks an attentive nursing assistant to support daily living activities and document care under the supervision of a registered nurse.

You will assist residents in activities of daily living, report changes to the Charge Nurse, and contribute to a safe, clean environment. This role requires a high school diploma or GED and certification as NA I.

Qualifications

• Completion of NAI program required.
• Listed with the nurse aide registry as an NA I required.
• Medication Safety - AME required.
• NC state approved curricula for restrictive interventions within 3 months of hire for specified units required.
• Basic computer skills for documentation.

What We Offer

Provides and documents assistance to patients with activities of daily living and maintenance of a safe and clean environment under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse.

Assisted Living units only: Responsible for assisting residents with activities of daily living as scheduled and reporting any change in status to the Charge Nurse.

What We're Looking For

• Education: High School Diploma or GED, required.
• Experience: 1 year, preferred. 1 year in Assisted Living facilities only: experience working in long-term care or assisted living, required.
• Licensure/Certification: Completion of NAI program, required. Listed with the nurse aide registry as an NA I, required. Medication Safety - AME, required. NC state approved curricula for restrictive interventions (facility specific) within 3 months of hire for Emergency Departments and Behavioral Health units, required.
• Additional Skills (preferred): Basic computer skills for documentation.
