Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to join the Neurology/PCU team. You will work alongside Registered Nurses to provide direct patient care, assist with hygiene, mobility, and meals, and help maintain a clean, safe patient space on 5W (LMC).

The role is on-site, full-time, with 36 scheduled hours per week. Requires SC CNA certification and BLS through AHA to ensure high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Currently registered as a Certified Nurse Assistant in South Carolina.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Assist patients with personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility.
• Help ensure patient comfort and safety at all times.
• Change bed linens and maintain a clean, organized patient space.
• Assist with transporting patients to tests and procedures.
• Serve and collect meal trays and provide between-meal nourishment.
• Record temperature and vital signs as directed by nursing staff.
• Support the nursing team with a variety of patient care activities.
