Job summary

The Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) role at MUSC Health supports Registered Nurses in delivering safe and compassionate care to patients during their hospital stay. You will assist with daily living activities, monitor comfort, and maintain a clean, safe environment on the unit.

This 36-hour-per-week position requires a high school diploma or GED, SC CNA licensure, and current BLS (AHA). Join a team dedicated to empowering recovery and delivering high‑quality patient care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Currently registered as a Certified Nurse Assistant in South Carolina.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) with the American Heart Association (AHA) required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Assist patients with personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility.
• Help ensure patient comfort and safety at all times.
• Change bed linens and maintain a clean, organized patient space.
• Assist with transporting patients to tests and procedures.
• Serve and collect meal trays and provide between‑meal nourishment.
• Record temperature and vital signs as directed by nursing staff.
• Support the nursing team with a variety of patient care activities.
