Job summary

The Medical University of South Carolina is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to join the care team in a busy hospital environment. You will work alongside Registered Nurses to provide hands-on patient care and support throughout the stay.

You will assist with personal hygiene, mobility, comfort, and safety, change linens, transport patients, and help with meals while recording vital signs as directed. BLS and SC CNA licensure required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Currently registered as a Certified Nurse Assistant in South Carolina.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) with the American Heart Association is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Assist patients with personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility.
• Help ensure patient comfort and safety at all times.
• Change bed linens and maintain a clean, organized patient space.
• Assist with transporting patients to tests and procedures.

• Record temperature and vital signs as directed by nursing staff.
• Support the nursing team with a variety of patient care activities.
