Job summary

Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA) is seeking a Certified Nurse Assistant to support patients and nurses in a fast-paced hospital setting. You will work closely with Registered Nurses to provide safe, compassionate care during hospital stays.

The role emphasizes direct patient care, personal hygiene support, linen changes, and efficient patient transport within the Neurology/PCU unit. Prior SC CNA licensure and BLS are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Currently registered as a Certified Nurse Assistant in South Carolina (SC CNA).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Assist patients with personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility.
• Help ensure patient comfort and safety at all times.
• Change bed linens and maintain a clean, organized patient space.
• Assist with transporting patients to tests and procedures.
• Serve and collect meal trays and provide between-meal nourishment.
• Record temperature and vital signs as directed by nursing staff.
• Support the nursing team with a variety of patient care activities.
