Job summary

NewCourtland Senior Services at Germantown Home in Philadelphia, PA seeks a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide compassionate direct care to residents while following individualized care plans and maintaining dignity, safety, and independence.

You will assist with activities of daily living, document changes, and collaborate with the nursing team to observe and respond to residents’ needs. A PA CNA training program and 2+ years’ experience are required.

Qualifications

• Must have a PA CNA training and competency program completion.
• Active PA Nurse Aide Registry listing with no abuse findings is required.
• Minimum 2 years of personal care experience; long-term care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to residents per individualized care plans.
• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, grooming, mobility, feeding, toileting).
• Support resident dignity, independence, and quality of life.
• Document care, changes in condition, and resident interactions accurately.

Location: Germantown Home – Philadelphia, PA

What You’ll Do:

• Provide direct care to residents based on individualized care plans

• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, grooming, dressing, mobility, feeding, toileting, and hygiene

• Support residents in maintaining dignity, independence, and quality of life

• Accurately document care, changes in condition, and resident interactions

• Promote resident rights, comfort, and safety in every interaction

• Collaborate with the nursing team to observe, report, and respond to changes in resident condition

What You Bring:

• High school diploma or equivalent; functional literacy required

• Completion of a PA state-approved CNA training and competency program

• Active listing on the PA Nurse Aide Registry, free of abuse/misconduct findings

• Minimum of 2 years experience providing personal care; long-term care preferred

• Patience, empathy, and professionalism in a team environment

Physical & Environmental Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist with resident transfers

• Work includes standing, bending, pushing, and moving throughout the facility

• Must be able to work in a healthcare environment with moderate noise and frequent exposure to cleaning agents and bodily fluids
