Job summary

Hale Makua Health Services in Maui is seeking compassionate Certified Nurse Aides (CNAs) to provide nursing care and daily living support for residents in a 90-bed Maui facility.

This full-time CNA role offers a fast-track hiring path with a $5,000 retention bonus (or $2,500 with Regular Part-time status) and benefits including PTO, tuition reimbursement, health/dental/vision, and a 401K match. You’ll orient residents and respond to calls, supporting daily activities with an Ohana culture.

Qualifications

• Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) certification with the State of Hawaii.
• Ability to provide personal and restorative care and assist with activities of daily living.
• Ability to orient residents to unit routines and respond to calls promptly.

Responsibilities

• Orient residents to the unit and facility; explain schedules and activities.
• Respond to resident calls, call bells, alarms and family requests promptly; inform Charge Nurse when required.

The Position

We're looking for passionate Certified Nurse Aides (CNA) to help us with providing nursing care and services for residents, that include personal and restorative care and activities of daily living.

• Ohana Certified Nurse Aides (CNAs) orient residents to the unit and facility: Bathroom, call system, shower schedule, and lanai/common areas; introduces to residents at table; informs of meal schedule and snack times; and informs of activity calendar and where activities are held.
• Certified Nurse Aides (CNAs) respond to resident calls, call bells, call lights, alarms immediately. Responds to family requests immediately. Informs Charge Nurse when required.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent. / Minimum age of 18.
• Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) certification with the State of Hawaii
• Current and valid 2 Step TB clearance and health review (can be done in-house).
