Job summary

Addus HomeCare is hiring CNAs to support seniors and disabled individuals living independently. This entry-level role offers flexible hours, daily/weekly pay options, and a chance to learn quality home care fundamentals under safety-first policies.

As a CNA, you will follow care plans, assist with personal care, housekeeping, and transportation to appointments, while maintaining clear communication and reporting changes in condition.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or one year of in-home care experience.
• Able to pass a criminal background check.
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.

Responsibilities

• Follow a care plan for the member and report completed tasks.
• Assist with personal care (bathing, dressing, etc.).
• Assist with routine house cleaning, laundry, and meal prep.

CNA Responsibilities

• Follow a care plan for the member, and report on completed tasks
• Support with personal care (bathing, dressing, etc.)
• Support with routine house cleaning, laundry, and assist with meal preparation
• Transport client to appointments, daily errands, and other locations as necessary
• Assist member with the self-administration of medications (no administering or measuring)
• Observe and report any changes in member's condition

CNA Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or one year of in-home care services experience
• Able to pass a criminal background check
• Reliable transportation, required for member transportation. Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance is required.
• Ability to work with limited supervision and follow written/verbal instructions
• Good communication skills
• Reliable, energetic, self-motivated and well-organized
• Comfortable using an electronic device
