Job summary

Addus HomeCare is hiring a CNA to support seniors and people with disabilities in their homes. This entry-level role offers flexible hours, reliable pay, and a path to learn the fundamentals of quality home care.

As an Addus CNA, you will follow care plans, assist with personal care, light household tasks, and transport clients to appointments. A passion for helping others and reliable transportation are essential; we provide PPE and ongoing team support.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Background check required.
• Reliable transportation with valid driver's license and insurance.
• Ability to follow written/verbal instructions.
• Good communication skills.
• Reliable, energetic, self-motivated and well-organized.
• Comfortable using an electronic device.

Responsibilities

• Follow a care plan for the member, and report on completed tasks.
• Support with personal care (bathing, dressing, etc.).
• Support with routine house cleaning, laundry, and assist with meal preparation.
• Transport client to appointments, daily errands, and other locations as necessary.
• Assist member with the self-administration of medications (no administering or measuring).
• Observe and report any changes in member's condition.

• Able to pass a criminal background check
• Reliable transportation, required for member transportation. Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance is required.
• Ability to work with limited supervision and follow written/verbal instructions
• Good communication skills
• Reliable, energetic, self-motivated and well-organized
• Comfortable using an electronic device
