Job summary

Freeport-McMoRan in Morenci, AZ is seeking a Journeyman Maintenance Technician/Mobile Crane Operator. You will contribute to development and training of crane teams, support planning of crane jobs, and help ensure safe and compliant operations at the Morenci copper complex.

The role requires CDL, extensive rigging and crane experience (150 tons+), and the ability to work shifts, weekends, and overtime. The company offers a housing allowance for on-site workers and a comprehensive benefits

Qualifications

• Completion of Apprenticeship or 2-year degree with 4 years of related experience.
• Pass written exam and hands-on tests for crane certification (Certified Crane Operator).
• Must have a CDL and experience with large mobile cranes (150 tons+).

Responsibilities

• Develop and train employees performing mobile crane operations.
• Plan and prepare scheduled crane jobs for safe execution.
• Support safety programs: JSAs, SOPs, Near Miss reporting, and other initiatives.
• Assist management with policies, procedures and budget development.
