Job summary

StoneBridge Maryland Heights is seeking a Certified Medication Technician to assist in administering medications to residents under physician and nursing supervision. The role also includes staffing duties and collaboration with the Nursing Department.

You must be a licensed Medication Technician with state-approved training, possess strong communication skills, and work in a team-focused environment that values resident care and safety.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent required.
• Licensed Medication Technician with state-approved training and exam.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to communicate effectively in an interdisciplinary care setting.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications to residents as ordered by the physician under supervision.
• Note and report errors in medication administration.
• Assist in developing procedures to prevent medication errors.
• Complete necessary forms, charts and reports.
• Document drug receipt errors with signed reports.
• Accurately measure and report residents' vital signs.
• Notify Charge Nurse or Director of Nursing Services of any issues.
• Follow facility medication card practices and recording procedures.
• Maintain staffing and scheduling information as required.
• Coordinate with nursing staff to ensure proper unit coverage.
