Job summary

Carolina Reserve of Durham, a community of Navion Senior Living located in Durham, NC, is seeking Certified Medication Technicians for medication administration-related roles. Our Medication Technicians deliver high-quality care and oversee resident well-being in a cutting-edge Assisted Living and Memory Care community.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Successful completion of a State Approved Medication Aide course.
• Personal Care Assistant or Certified Nursing Certification required.
• Effective written and oral communication in an interdisciplinary care setting.
• Ability to work with seniors safely and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates a positive relationship with residents, family members and staff.
• Promotes and protects residents rights and treats residents with dignity and respect.
• Attends in-service and continuing education required by state regulations.
• Maintains confidentiality of residents’ information in compliance with HIPAA guidelines.
• Documentation is completed in an informative and descriptive manner.
• Reports changes in a resident’s condition to the supervisor promptly.
• Operates equipment safely and follows training.
• Adheres to community policies and procedures.
