Copper Ridge Nursing & Assisted Living Center is seeking a Certified Medication Technician (CMT) to provide safe medication administration and high‑quality resident care. The CMT operates under the delegating nurse and administrator to ensure proper storage, labeling, and documentation of medications.

The role emphasizes teamwork, adherence to regulations, and ongoing training to stay current with state and federal guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current state certification as a CMT required.
• CPR/First Aid certification required.
• 2–3 years’ experience in an Assisted Living setting preferred.
• Ability to work in a team and independently.
• Proficiency in computer systems.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and administer medications to residents as prescribed by their physician.
• Monitor residents’ medication intake and document all medication administration activities.
• Maintain accurate records of all medications, including ordering, storing, and disposing of medications as necessary.
• Ensure proper storage of medications and label all medications properly.
• Report any adverse reactions to medications and changes in a resident’s condition to the proper supervisor.
• Participate in ongoing training to remain current on all regulations.
• Ensure medications are in compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Ability to obtain vitals on residents.
• Provide the upmost care to each resident through assisting with ADL care.
