Job summary

Kirkwood Wellness & Rehabilitation is hiring Certified Medication Technicians (CMTs) to join our nursing team under new ownership. We offer day and evening shifts, with both full-time and part-time opportunities available, and provide competitive benefits for eligible staff.

As a CMT, you will assist with safe medication administration under a licensed nurse, support residents with daily care, and help maintain a safe, respectful, and comfortable living environment.

Qualifications

• Current Missouri CMT certification required.
• Active CNA certification may be required by state regulations.
• Previous experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, rehabilitation, or related healthcare settings preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Compassionate, dependable, and resident-focused.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications accurately per physician orders and state regulations.
• Observe residents for medication effectiveness and report changes to the licensed nurse.
• Document medication administration accurately and timely.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed.
• Monitor residents for adverse medication reactions or changes in condition.
• Maintain accurate medication records and documentation.
• Follow infection prevention and infection control procedures.
• Communicate effectively with nurses, residents, families, and healthcare team members.
• Promote resident dignity, comfort, and independence.
• Ensure compliance with facility policies and state and federal regulations.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized medication cart and work area.

Position Summary

The Certified Medication Technician (CMT) provides safe, accurate medication administration while delivering compassionate, resident-centered care. Working under the supervision of a licensed nurse, the CMT assists residents with daily care needs, monitors resident conditions, and helps promote a safe and comfortable living environment.
