Job summary

AdviniaCare Newport in Newport, RI is seeking a Certified Medication Technician (CMT) to join our skilled nursing team. You will administer medications, document in the eMAR, and monitor residents for changes in condition, providing care under the direction of the charge nurse.

The role requires an active Rhode Island CNA license and CMT certification, plus current BLS/CPR. We offer a $2,000 sign-on bonus for full-time staff, comprehensive benefits, and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Rhode Island CNA license and CMT certification in good standing.
• Previous medication pass experience required.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.
• Experience caring for seniors, including those with Alzheimer’s or dementia, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications accurately and on time, following physician orders, facility policies and Rhode Island regulations.
• Document medication administration in the eMAR.
• Observe residents for changes in condition or medication side effects and report them to the charge nurse.
• Assist residents with daily living tasks, including grooming, bathing, dressing, incontinence care and meals.
• Provide CNA care as needed when not passing medications.
• Follow safety, infection control and resident privacy procedures.
• Treat every resident with dignity, patience and respect.

What you’ll do
