Job summary

AdviniaCare Orchard View in Riverside, RI is hiring a Certified Medication Technician (CMT) on a per diem basis. You will safely administer prescribed medications to residents under the supervision of licensed nurses, ensuring the right care at the right time every day, and you will accurately document administration in the eMAR system.

We are looking for an Active Rhode Island CNA license in good standing and a Rhode Island medication aide/technician certification.

Qualifications

• Must hold Rhode Island CNA license in good standing.
• Current Rhode Island medication aide/technician certification.
• Experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to medication safety.
• Dependable, compassionate and able to work well as part of a team.
• Experience with eMAR systems (e.g., PointClickCare) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications to residents as ordered, following facility policies and Rhode Island regulations.
• Accurately document medication administration in the electronic MAR (eMAR).
• Observe residents for changes in condition or medication side effects and report them to the charge nurse.
• Check vital signs before medication administration as required.
• Maintain medication carts, storage areas and supplies in a clean, secure and organized manner.
• Follow infection control, safety and resident privacy standards.
• Communicate with nurses, CNAs and other team members to support resident care.
• Provide CNA care as needed when not passing medications.
