Job summary

Smith County Health and Rehab in Tennessee seeks a full-time Certified Med Tech to assist with medication administration and resident care. Join a team dedicated to quality care in a warm, community-focused setting.

You will support residents, monitor conditions, document observations, and collaborate with nurses to ensure accurate treatments. Flexible scheduling includes evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• One year of related experience and/or training preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience with older adults is preferred.
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, holidays.
• Enjoy working with seniors.

Responsibilities

• Provide residents with medication administration and treatment assistance and services according to health care provider's orders
• Supervise residents who self-administer medication while following company and regulatory guidelines
• Report any changes in residents' physical condition and/or behaviors
• Maintain resident records regarding medication distribution, leisure activities, incidents and observations

CMT responsibilities:

• Provide residents with medication administration and treatment assistance and services according to health care provider's orders
• Supervise residents who self-administer medication while following company and regulatory guidelines
• Report any changes in residents' physical condition and/or behaviors
• Maintain resident records regarding medication distribution, leisure activities, incidents and observations

CMT required skills and qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• One year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Previous experience working directly with older adults preferred
• Flexible schedule, including availability to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed
• Must enjoy working with the senior population
