EverTrue is seeking a Certified Medication Technician to administer medications to residents under nursing supervision and to provide supportive daily care. The role involves documenting accurately, observing for adverse effects, and assisting with meals and activities while upholding resident dignity and safety.

You will work within an interdisciplinary team, participate in care planning, and ensure privacy and safety standards are followed.

Qualifications

• Current CMT certification in the state of practice.
• High-school diploma or GED.
• CPR certification and first aid training.
• Basic computer skills.
• Experience with direct care preferred.
• If working in Pennsylvania: Personal Care DHS Medication Administration Course.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and administers medication to residents under the direction of the nursing staff and within the scope of practice for a CMT; and documents accordingly; Observes residents for side effects, interactions and implications of common medicines.
• Provides medical and physical care to residents to meet their daily needs.
• Assists residents with personal care needs and supports their independence.
• Observes residents and reports changing needs to nursing staff.
• Participates in the resident’s care/service plan to improve quality of life.
• Assists with mealtimes and feeds residents who need full assistance.
• Creates and maintains relationships with residents and families.
• Supports resident involvement in daily activities and decision making.
• Assists with therapies and treatments under licensed personnel directions.
• Follows HIPAA and privacy guidelines; knocks before entering rooms.
• Follows safety procedures and reports hazards or incidents to Charge Nurse.
• Documents vital signs and other health data in the electronic record.
• Responds to incoming phone calls.
• May serve as administrator designee when needed.
