Job summary

Inspired Living is seeking a Full-Time Certified Medication Aide for our seniors at Inspired Living of Ocoee. The role delivers medication management and ADL services per each resident's plan, under the Director of Health and Wellness, while ensuring regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include documentation, communication with medical professionals and families, meal service participation, staff supervision, and maintaining required certifications.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• One year of caregiving experience is required.
• State-required HHA certification or CNA license.
• Supervisory experience of six months or more in a health-related field.
• Must be able to read physician orders and match to Medication Administration Records.
• Must understand medical terminology adequate to pass medications and communicate with medical professionals.

Responsibilities

• Follows services outlined in each resident's service plan in a friendly and supportive manner, including passing resident medications per physician orders and MAR.
• Documents completion of tasks on a daily basis.
• Documents observed changes in condition per local rules and policies.
• Communicates resident needs to other Medication Aides for consistent quality.
• Participates in meal service including serving, clearing, and cleaning the dining room.
• Manages staff under supervision during working hours.
• Maintains required certifications and ongoing trainings per licensing requirements.
• Complies with Continuous Quality Improvement and reports issues to supervisor.
• Follows local, state, and federal rules and HIPAA, OSHA, and Blood Borne Pathogen guidelines.
• Supports safe work practices and assists with investigations and return-to-work processes when injuries occur.
