Good Samaritan in Canistota, SD is seeking a Medication Assistant (MA) to provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under the supervision of a charge nurse. You will assist with basic health care needs including vital signs and daily living activities, while promoting a positive dining experience and psychosocial support.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED (preferred), CNA certification per state requirements, and successful completion of CMA/TMA

Responsibilities

• Provides resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under supervision of a charge nurse.
• Assists with activities of daily living and basic health care needs including recording vital signs.
• Administers prescribed medications as delegated by a licensed nurse within scope of practice.
• Documents care, medication administration, behavior, activity, and dietary outcomes.
